Zach Deputy

Traveling one-man band Zach Deputy brings his "island-infused drum n' bass gospel ninja soul" to headline the beachside one-day Dunes & Tunes Arts & Music Festival  Aug. 16 in Fernandina Beach, just north of Jacksonville.

This is a family-friendly event (kids under 12 are free) and tickets are $20.  You can get details at the Dunes and Tunes Facebook page, and here's a little preview write-up from the organizers:

The Dunes and Tunes event will kick off at 12:00pm at Main Beach with the Sand Sculpting Competition. This sand sculpting event is open to people of all ages and skill levels. Prices are $10 for 12 and under, $15 for 13 and up and $30 for any teams. Participants then have 3 hours to create their best sand sculpture. Participants will also be eligible to attend the music concerts for $10.

The music will feature Parker Urban Band, a popular funk band from Jacksonville. Following them on stage will be BIG Something, one of the fastest rising acts out of North Carolina. BIG Something brings a party filled with everything jam fans love – an expertly-played, eclectic mix of rock, funk, jazz, reggae and more!

After them, S.P.O.R.E will take the stage. S.P.O.R.E. is a high energy 5 piece Livetronica Jam Band out of Jacksonville that creates and fuzes a unique medley of Rock, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Hip Hop, and Dancy Electronic jams!

Then closing the show we have Zach Deputy. Zach Deputy is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter based in Savannah, GA and best known for his live looping shows. A crowd favorite, he always sends fans home with a smile on their faces.

In addition to the arts and music, the festival will feature a line of food trucks, an interactive kids zone, the giant water slide, the Northeast Florida Cornhole Championships, a rock-paper-scissors battle royal, vendors and much more!!!
